Exodus 15:23-25 When they came to Marah, they could not drink the water of Marah because it was bitter; therefore it was named Marah. And the people grumbled against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink?" And he cried to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a log, and he threw it into the water, and the water became sweet
Psalm 99:6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel also was among those who called upon his name. They called to the LORD, and he answered them.
Our cities are suffering this same bitterness; stained with impurity and unrighteousness. God calls us to take responsibility for our city crying out to God as Moses, Aaron and Samuel did. There is a call for repentance and a cry for the release of the Lambs blood upon our personal households (Exodus 12:3) as well for our cities. He will be faithful as he was faithful towards Moses. Our cities will be filled with the sweet (Hebrew: Hiphil: to give sweet taste) fragrance of Jesus as he pours out his Spirit as promised in Joel 2:28. And they will no longer drink from the bitter source, but instead drink from the springs of Elim (Exodus 15:27).
Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.
