Read John 13:1-8 'Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end...(5) Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him....'
Even in Jesus' last hour on earth, He chose to live in love, loving us to the death; to the cross; demonstrating of His desire for us to be with Him where He is (John 17:24 and Revelation 14:4). He tells Peter in (V7) that understanding will gradually be revealed to Him about His three-fold role as the servant; the cross, how he ministers (serves) us in our pre-ressurection lives, and how He will serve us in His Millenial reign - feasting with Him as He wipes every tear away.
In this end time hour, He calls us to love him back; pursuing intimate devotion with Him. To seek His beauty. To humble ourselves allowing our feet to be washed, ministered to and healed by the Lord. His desire is towards us and He draws us into a place where we will receive His love.
Love fuels the prayers and praises of the saints (Revelation 8) and He will return to a generation devoted to this most important commandment...
Mark 12:29-30 Jesus answered, "The most important is, 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'
Pray that the eyes of your heart would be enlightened. That the revelation of Christ would draw us to desire no other. That He would lead us into pursuing righteousness so that we may live a truely happy life be found steadfast in the season of His return.
